Help you take on high-heat techniques with confidence. Sensor monitoring automatically sets the ideal heat, alerts you when to add ingredients and maintains constant temperature while food cooks. Requires the use of specialty KitchenAid® pans (sold separately).

Power Boost Function

Sets the highest heat for rapid boiling, bringing three quarts of water to a boil on average nearly twice as fast as our gas cooktop. After five minutes, the heat automatically adjusts to keep water at a rolling boil. 3000W induction element set to Power Boost compared to KitchenAid® 10,000 BTU gas burner.

Touch-Activated Controls

For assisted cooking modes, auto presets and numerical power settings are simple to use. The seamless design is also easy to clean.

Control Lock

Helps prevent unintended use and makes it easier to clean the control panel.

Pan Size Detection

Recognizes the size and placement of cookware to generate heat directly within the pan. An indicator light and sound will alert you if you turn the cooktop on without a pan on the selected element or if your pan is not compatible with induction cooking.

Frameless Design

Allows flush installation for a seamless look or standard installation to fit an existing cooktop cutout.

Requires Induction-Compatible Cookware

Such as multi-ply stainless steel, enamelled steel or cast iron. Aluminum and copper cookware will not work unless it has a base made of iron or steel. Look for pans marked "Works with Induction" or test to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom.
